Statement of Health & Safety Policy

Policy Declaration

1. P&C intends to comply with all safety laws and regulations
2. Safety of employees, the public, and our operations are paramount.
3. Safety will take precedence over short cuts.
4. Every attempt will be made to reduce the possibility of accident occurrence.
5. Health and Safety violations will be recorded in the employee file
6. Management staff, project supervisory staff and foremen will be held accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision.
7. All employees are responsible for their own behaviour and are accordingly required to observe the safety regulations and to point out any hazard, which they themselves cannot eliminate.
8. Employees are not to be considered agents of the Company in any way where they fail to observe safety regulations and policy.

Implementation of Policy

1. Prompt action to eliminate unsafe conditions and to maintain good housekeeping at the shop and on the job site.
2. Indoctrination of new employees in Company policy of accident prevention.
3. Maintenance of equipment and proper training in use of equipment.
4. Written and posted reports on lost time accidents.
5. Proper training on work methods and explanations of potential hazards.
6. Established procedures for emergencies.
7. Reporting all accidents and injuries immediately.
